San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has said that his side's playoff victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last night will give them confidence going into the Divisional round.
The Chargers became the first team to beat the Bengals at the Paul Brown Stadium this season in last night's wildcard playoff match, taking advantage of a number of turnovers from Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton to win 27-10.
They will now face the Denver Broncos in the next round having already beaten them once this campaign, and Rivers believes that his side will go into the match with the perfect level of confidence to get a result.
"We will be confident. We've got to be careful we're not overconfident, which we won't be. Cincinnati came to our place and won five weeks ago," Rivers told The AP.
The Chargers and the Broncos have already faced each other twice this season, with Denver coming out on top in November and San Diego winning the last meeting on December 12.
