Claire Hallissey has secured her place in Great Britain's marathon team for the the Olympic Games next year by finishing sixth in Chicago earlier today.
The 28-year-old, running only her second marathon, finished the race in two hours, 29 minutes and 27 seconds.
That time was 93 seconds inside the UK Athletics requirement.
The British team are expected to select three members for the women's marathon team, with Paula Radcliffe believed to be an automatic pick.
Radcliffe recently qualified for the event with her performance in Berlin last month.
