The roads around Hampton Court will be heavily affected by the road cycling time trials which take place between 10.30am and around 5pm today.
Traffic travel in Central London is also likely to be unpleasant, particularly close to Horse Guards Parade, where there are four sessions of beach volleyball.
The Jubilee line will be exceptionally busy between 3pm and 8pm as a result of events taking place at Wembley Stadium, Wembley Arena, Lord's, North Greenwich Arena, the ExCeL Arena and at the Olympic Park.
Outside of London, spectators who are travelling to the Millennium Stadium for Team GB's match with Uruguay are advised to expect a longer journey time than usual due to excessive numbers of cars on the roads close to the ground.
