Lord Coe will stand unopposed to become the new chairman of the British Olympic Association.

Lord Sebastian Coe is expected to be confirmed as the new British Olympic Association chairman after it was announced that he will stand unopposed for the position.

The 55-year-old was a leading figure as London hosted the Olympic Games earlier this summer.

With the Games viewed as a success by many, Coe was installed as odds-on favourite to take over as head of the BOA.

Reports have claimed that Coe is hoping to combine the role with with the IAAF presidency.

Coe will replace Lord Moynihan as the chairman.
