The 2012 Paralympics get underway today following last night's opening ceremony, with 28 gold medals up for grabs today.

"There is a huge amount of work that goes into the medal target, it's not just plucked from thin air," Grey-Thompson told BBC Radio Five Live.

"I think [Great Britain] will finish in second in the medal table. But everyone wants to beat the British on home soil. I'm looking forward to seeing Sarah Storey today in the cycling, I think she is going to do well."

Great Britain finished second in the medal table behind China with 42 golds in the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.
