Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith has admitted that she is "over the moon" to have set a new British record in the 200m final at the World Championships in Beijing.
The 19-year-old finished fifth in a time of 22.07s, while the Netherlands' Dafne Schippers snatched gold in 21.63s.
"I'm over the moon," Asher-Smith told BBC Sport. "To be in a race of that standing, 21.63 seconds is ridiculous. I didn't know those times existed.
"I gave it my all. I always run better when relaxed so I tried to have fun. I'm happy to run a personal best and British record in a world final. I can't ask for any more. I didn't imagine I'd be coming fifth in the world, any time. It was amazing to be part of such a brilliant race."
The Brit smashed two personal bests in the heats and semi-finals.
