UK Athletics performance director Neil Black has described Great Britain's performance at the World Athletics Championships as "unbelievable".

Great Britain finished fourth in the medal table with four gold medals, one silver and two bronzes.

"What an end to the Championships. It couldn't be better with two medals over the final two relays," Black told BBC Sport.

"There were brilliant performances over the whole competition. It's just been an unbelievable championships and we're really proud.

"This is about what we expected. We've got high standards. We're looking to win medals. We're really happy with the way the team has stood up and performed at the global level."
