Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is reportedly attracting interest from former club Leicester City ahead of the January transfer window.

Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has reportedly attracted interest from former club Leicester City.

It has been reported that the Blues are willing to listen to loan offers for a number of fringe players, including the 26-year-old, ahead of the January window.

Dewsbury-Hall made the switch from the King Power Stadium to Stamford Bridge for £30m in the summer, following an exceptional campaign for Leicester in the division below.

The Foxes cantered to the Championship crown at the first time of asking under Enzo Maresca, with the midfielder playing a major role in the achievement.

Linking up with the likes of Harry Winks and Wilfred Ndidi in the engine room, Dewsbury-Hall scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists across 49 competitive appearances last season.

Chelsea man Dewsbury-Hall back to Leicester?

According to Football Insider, Chelsea's forgotten man Dewsbury-Hall could be making a surprise return to his former stomping ground over the New Year.

Leicester are said to be keen on securing the services of the 26-year-old once again, just six months after he jumped ship for West London.

The Foxes will not be able to lure Dewsbury-Hall back to the East Midlands easily, though, as a number of other clubs are also interested in the player.

It is understood that Chelsea would be willing to part ways with the playmaker permanently, although only for at least the £30m that they splashed out for the talent during the summer.

As a result, it is believed that Leicester will target a temporary swoop for Dewsbury-Hall, who could join the Foxes until the conclusion of the 2024-25 term.

Dewsbury-Hall's Chelsea struggles

Despite arguably possessing the ability to be a solid Premier League starter, Dewsbury-Hall has suffered from the plethora of midfield options at Maresca's disposal.

The 26-year-old has failed to start a single top-flight contest for the Blues since switching over from Leicester, totalling only 56 minutes of Premier League football across five matches.

Dewsbury-Hall has been forced to settle for game time in the Conference League, a competition in which Chelsea have unleashed their fringe players against some of Europe's most obscure outfits.
