Keith Bogans has been excused indefinitely from the Boston Celtics for "personal reasons".

The team says that the guard will remain under contract with the Celtics during his absence.

The 33-year-old has averaged two points per game in six appearances for Boston this season.

Bogans has featured just twice since November.
