Chauncey Billups will have surgery on the meniscus in his right knee, according to reports.
The 37-year-old guard has featured in just 19 games for the Detroit Pistons this season, averaging 3.8 points per game.
The Detroit News reports that Billups will undergo the operation, but that he will be able to return before the end of the season.
Billups is in the last year of his contract, although the team have an option on next season.
