Mario Chalmers has been fined $15,000 (£9,300) by the NBA for a flagrant foul on Blake Griffin.
The incident took place in the third quarter of Thursday's game between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Chalmers was punished for a hit on the neck as he attempted to push past a screen set by Griffin.
The Heat recorded a 102-97 victory in the game against the Clippers.
