Raymond Felton apologises to New York Knicks fans

New York Knicks point guard Raymond Felton apologises for their poor start to the season.

New York Knicks point guard Raymond Felton has apologised to the team's fans after their disappointing start to the new season.

Coach Mike Woodson has now overseen three consecutive losses ahead of their trip to the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday.

"The fans are not here in the locker room with us," ESPN quotes him as saying.

"They are not inside [knowing] what's going on with this team. All I can say to the fans is we do apologise. I am speaking on behalf of myself and my teammates. We do apologise for the way we have been playing."

Coach Woodson was forced to speak about his job security earlier this week, and insisted that he is confident that they can improve quickly.
