Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti has jumped to the defence of coach Scott Brooks, following the Thunder's defeat at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs in the playoff semi-finals.
Brooks has come under fire from some of the Thunder's fans as they were dumped out of the post-season following a 4-2 loss, but Presti believes Scott has done a standout job at Oklahoma.
"Scotty, I think, did an excellent job," said the team's general manager, according to the official NBA website.
"I understand, we all have a tendency to look at the last game and the last series. I respect it. That's part of sports. I can't do that.
"He's stacking successful seasons on top of each other, increasing our odds to take a really unique amount of time that we've been successful and extend it to a very, very unique amount of time."
Since taking over the Thunder, Brooks has led the team to an overall record of 293-170 under his charge.
