Portland Trail Blazers star Robin Lopez has been ruled out "for a while" after he sustained a broken hand in Monday night's win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Lopez injured his right hand early in the third quarter after hitting it hard on Boris Diaw's head, and he did not return to the game.
"It's a little frustrating," Lopez told reporters.
"I've been pretty fortunate with injuries in my career."
The player hasn't sat out a game in the NBA in nearly three years and he has averaged 9.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in 25 games so far this season.
Lopez, who was was drafted by the Phoenix Suns with the number 15 overall pick in 2008, last missed a game back in January 2012 before playing in every one for Portland last season and for New Orleans in the 2012-13 season.
