For the second time in a week Miami struggled to contain San Antonio on their home court as Gregg Popovich's side moved to within one win of the title.

It was another fast start from the Spurs as the visitors quickly took control of game four by restricting Miami to just 17 points in the opening quarter.

San Antonio benefited from contributions from their whole team, with Kawhi Leonard once again impressing on his way to 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Miami continued to struggle at both ends of the court as the hosts closed out the first half trailing their rivals 55-36 in front a frustrated home crowd.

Boris Diaw, handed a start by Popovich, vindicated his coach's decision with nine assists, while the experienced Tony Parker registered 19 points.

Patty Mills found the net with four of his six three-point attempts from the bench on his way to 14 points, as San Antonio headed into the final period leading by 24 points.

Miami were able to outscore the Spurs in the remaining 12 minutes, despite LeBron James sitting out for most of the quarter after posting 28 points, but the win was never in doubt for the visitors.

San Antonio can secure the title with a victory in Texas on Sunday night.
