San Antonio Spurs bench helps score win against Dallas Mavericks

The San Antonio Spurs record their sixth straight win against the Dallas Mavericks with a 116-107 victory.

The San Antonio Spurs have recorded their sixth straight win against the Dallas Mavericks with a 116-107 victory at the American Airlines Center on Boxing Day.

The Spurs were aided by their powerful bench players, as Danny Green came off the side to score 22 points and build on a solid foundation laid by Tony Parker and Tim Duncan earlier in the game.

Dallas put up an impressive resistance in the final section having been down 15, as Monta Ellis scored 13 fourth-quarter points to reduce the deficit to three. However, it wasn't enough as the Spurs managed to hold on and secure an impressive win on their Christmas travels.

The victory sees the Spurs occupying top spot in the Southwest Division, with a record of 23-7.
