Floyd Mayweather Jnr has admitted that he is wary of Marcos Maidana's punching power ahead of their clash on May 3.
The unbeaten 'Money' announced via his Twitter page that he will be facing the 30-year-old later this year, and Mayweather believes that his opponent's "knockout danger" could make for a must-see bout.
"Marcos Maidana's last performance [against Adrien Broner] immediately brought him to my attention," said Mayweather in the press release announcing the fight.
"He is an extremely skilled fighter who brings knockout danger to the ring. I think this is a great fight for me and he deserves the opportunity to see if he can do what 45 others have tried to do before him – beat me."
Mayweather's professional record is 45-0, with his last win coming in impressive fashion against Saul Alvarez last year.
