Danny Briggs claimed that England's preparation for the defence of their World Twenty20 title has been perfect after securing a second warm-up victory in a week.
The spinner played a pivotal role against Pakistan on Wednesday and believes that the signs are positive ahead of Friday's opener with Afghanistan.
Briggs said: "We've played really well the first week, and to get two wins under our belt is perfect preparation really for that first match on Friday.
"We're really looking forward to that now.
"This week has been good preparation to play against any side."
Afghanistan started the competition with a loss to India on Wednesday in Colombo.
