The opening session of the second Test match between England and New Zealand at Headingley has been washed out by rain.

The start of the second Test match between England and New Zealand at Headingley has been delayed by rain.

The day began with the toss being delayed due to wet weather in the Leeds area, and that only continued throughout the morning.

It was evident early on that play would not commence before the afternoon session, and the umpires finally made the decision to call lunch 30 minutes early.

Play is not expected to start until at least midway through the afternoon session, which you can follow by following Sports Mole's live commentary.
