Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is allegedly wanted by a Premier League giant as he also weighs up interest from Europe.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford may reportedly receive a loan offer from a Premier League giant.

Despite Ruben Amorim indicating that Rashford remains part of his plans, it has become clear in recent weeks that the England international has little future at Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old has not been used since a Europa League fixture on December 12 and has been left out the majority of squads since that date, coinciding with an interview where he stated that he was ready for a new challenge.

Over the past 24 hours, it has been widely reported that Rashford's brother and agent is currently in Italy to discuss a potential switch to AC Milan.

Furthermore, there is talk of Borussia Dortmund also being in contention for his signature, yet it appears that both European clubs face competition from at least one English team.

Spurs to make their move?

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are keen to secure a loan deal for the England international over the coming weeks.

While Spurs have generally not been short of goals in the final third this season, Ange Postecoglou is seemingly keen to introduce a number of fresh faces.

Priority is still expected to be given to acquiring at least one new central defender in light of their issues in that area of the pitch.

Nevertheless, bringing in a versatile attacker such as Rashford would ease the load on Dominic Solanke and provide Postecoglou with extra competition across all three positions.

As it stands, it is unclear whether United would consider allowing Rashford to join a direct rival at a time when Spurs sit just one point above them in the Premier League table.

That is despite United being in desperate need to free up space on their wage bill to facilitate the first arrivals under Amorim.

Would Spurs be a suitable fit?

Much will depend on whether Rashford sees the aforementioned new challenge being at a different Premier League club or team in a top European league.

Despite his inconsistency for a number of seasons, the 27-year-old still has 87 goals and 40 assists to his name from 287 Premier League appearances.

His European record will attract suitors on the continent, Rashford chipping in with 26 strikes and 10 assists from his 75 outings in the Champions League and Europa League.

Should Rashford end up at Spurs, he would likely be provided with regular game time, potentially taking on the role of Timo Werner who has again struggled during his own loan stint at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
