Ajax got the better of Feyenoord in the Eredivisie this afternoon as they won 1-0 at De Kuip Stadion.

The visitors took an early lead through Ricardo van Rhijn'S fifth-minute free kick, and the Amsterdam outfit were forced to withstand heavy pressure to claim the three points.

Colin Kazim-Richards missed a numbers of chances, and the home side were unfortunate to see three efforts strike the crossbar.

Feyenoord thought that they had the equaliser late on, but Van Rhijn got back to clear off the line, with Jasper Cillenssen beaten.
