Roberto Martinez: 'We have nothing to lose in race for fourth'

Roberto Martinez insists that there is no pressure on Everton as they bid to qualify for the Champions League.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that there is no pressure on his side to finish fourth in the Premier League this season.

Despite being locked in a battle with Arsenal for the right to play in the Champions League, Martinez refused to suggest that it would be a failure for Everton to be beaten to fourth by the Gunners.

"There is no pressure on us," the Spaniard told reporters. "We have nothing to lose. I think the pressure comes when you have something to lose.

"We are in a position where we have everything to gain."

Arsenal regained fourth spot on Tuesday night by beating West Ham United 3-1.
