Arsene Wenger confident of top-four finish

Arsene Wenger believes that Arsenal have the right experience to qualify for the Champions League.

Arsene Wenger has insisted that Arsenal have the relevant experience to secure a top-four finish this season.

The Gunners slipped down to fifth place in the table over the weekend as Everton overtook them with a 1-0 win over Sunderland.

Despite his side being two points behind the Toffees with five games to play, Wenger is confident that they can claw back the deficit and qualify for the Champions League.

"It's down to consistency and we have just to focus on our results and see where we finish," the Frenchman told the club's official website. "The quality of our performances, the quality of our spirit and our focus [makes me think we can finish in the top four].

"Experience counts of course. But the difference will be the quality of that you produce on the pitch and that is down to desire, to be faithful to our game we want to play and get everybody back in our squad."

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Tuesday night when they welcome West Ham United to the Emirates Stadium.
