Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has rejected Lukas Podolski's accusations that the Frenchman showed a 'lack of respect' when sending the forward on loan to Inter Milan.
The German international finalised his transfer, which will run to the end of the season, on Monday due to limited game time with the Gunners.
Following his move to Italy, Podolski said in a newspaper interview that Wenger "did not call or say goodbye", but the French boss has rubbished those remarks.
In this morning's press conference, Wenger said: "I deny completely. I had many conversations with him. Without my agreement, he couldn't go on loan."
The Arsenal boss has not ruled out welcoming Podolski back to the club when his loan comes to an end.
