Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could return to action sooner than first expected.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could be back from injury ahead of schedule.

The 19-year-old was expected to be sidelined for five months after he underwent ankle surgery in September.

However, the England international has been given the all clear to start light training now that he is without crutches.

"First day without crutches! Feels so good!" tweeted Wilshere.

The Gunners travel to Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.
