How Arsenal could line up against Burnley

Ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture between Burnley and Arsenal, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up at Turf Moor.

Arsenal make the trip to Burnley this weekend looking to move away from a group of teams who are on the same points in the middle of the Premier League table.

While the Gunners and the Clarets each have 30 points, they are separated by three places due to Burnley's poor goal difference.

However, with his side just four points adrift of fifth-placed Manchester United, Mikel Arteta is aware that success in the North-West could prove to be one of the most important results of the club's season.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Arsenal could line up for the game at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon.

Arteta has at least two different options this weekend, with David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having served their respective suspensions.

While Luiz should partner Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the centre of defence, Aubameyang is expected to line up down the middle of the attack.

That likely switch is a result of Gabriel Martinelli's form on the left flank, which should be enough to see him get the nod over Alexandre Lacazette.

Despite impressing against Bournemouth in the FA Cup fourth round, Joe Willock is likely to drop down to the substitutes' bench, with Mesut Ozil being handed a recall.

Arteta has boosted his squad with the signings of Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares this week, additions made to improve the team's backline.

However, Soares is not in contention for this fixture due to a knee injury, while Pablo Mari is lacking match fitness.
