Report: Arsenal agree one-year deal with Stephan Lichtsteiner

Arsenal are thought to be close to signing Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner after reportedly agreeing a one-year contract with the Switzerland international.

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a one-year contract with Switzerland full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The 34-year-old is currently on the books at Juventus but will be a free agent once his contract expires in the summer.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the agreement was made on Wednesday morning after talks between Arsenal and Lichtsteiner.

The report goes on to claim that the contract, which runs until June 2019, just needs to be signed off by Lichtsteiner before he can finally be unveiled as a Gunners player.

Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be in the hunt for Lichtsteiner, who has spent the last seven years at Juve.
