Juventus goalkeeper Emil Audero has reportedly been lined up for a move to Arsenal as a replacement for Petr Cech.
Veteran goalkeeper Cech announced last week that he is to bring an end to his playing career at the conclusion of the campaign.
That will leave Arsenal short of cover, with Bernd Leno their current number one and Emiliano Martinez considered third choice.
According to Sky Sport Italia reporter Gianluca di Marzio, Arsenal have their eyes on Audero following the 22-year-old's impressive displays while on loan at Sampdoria this season.
Audero's path to the Juventus first team is being blocked by former Gunners fan favourite Wojciech Szczesny, who swapped Arsenal for Juve in 2017.
Sampdoria may also make an approach to sign the Italy Under-21s international on a permanent basis.
