Arsenal are reportedly leading Tottenham Hotspur in the race to secure a deal for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

Arsenal have allegedly emerged as frontrunners to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid this summer.

Despite preferring to remain at the Bernabeu in the long term, Ceballos is said to be open to a loan exit ahead of the new campaign in a bid to earn regular first-team action.

Tottenham Hotspur have previously been suggested as the favourites to win the race for the player, who has just starred for Spain Under-21s at the European Championship.

However, Marca say that it is Arsenal who are most likely to sign the 22-year-old, rather than their North London rivals.

Unai Emery may see Ceballos as a straight replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who has linked up with Juventus on a free transfer.

The Gunners are also said to be chasing Real attacker Lucas Vazquez, while Mariano Diaz is another Los Blancos player who could move to the Emirates Stadium.
