Marcia has been strongly linked with Arsenal in the last fortnight, with the Romanian international available to provide cover in attack for sole fit striker Olivier Giroud.
Italian club Fiorentina are also short of options in the final third after Mario Gomez suffered knee ligament damage last weekend, with the German international sidelined for a minimum of six weeks.
La Viola also lost Juan Cuadrado with a dislocated shoulder in yesterday's 1-1 draw with Cagliari and are mulling over an approach for Marica as a short-term solution, according to The Mirror.
The 27-year-old is currently unattached after his contract with Schalke 04 expired last season, with the forward's agent declaring early last week that he was "close" to joining Arsenal.
