Arsenal to move for Lassana Diarra?

Arsene Wenger could be ready to move for former Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra, according to reports.

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra could reportedly be on the way to Arsenal.

The 29-year-old is a free agent after leaving Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow over the summer.

Arsene Wenger failed to add any midfielders to his squad over the summer, choosing instead to bolster his attacking options with the capture of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez.

However, with Jack Wilshere picking up an injury during last night's Champions League defeat to Borussia Dortmind, the Frenchman could be tempted to make a move for ex-Gunner Diarra, according to The Express.

Diarra spent a year under Wenger during the 2007-08 season, joining from London rivals Chelsea, but left for Portsmouth after making just seven appearances for Arsenal.
