Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin has reportedly told the club that wants to depart in the summer in order to join Serie A champions Inter Milan.
The Spaniard was linked away from the Emirates Stadium throughout the majority of last season, with Paris Saint-Germain said to be the most likely destination, but the Nerazzurri are now said to be in pole position for his signature.
Inter's pursuit of Bellerin comes after their sale of Moroccan right-back Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain, with Simone Inzaghi reportedly keen to replace the title-winning full-back heading into the new season.
According to Calciomercato, the 26-year-old has made it clear that he wants to depart North London and link up with the Italian champions, rather than play out the final two years of his deal at the Emirates Stadium.
Reportedly, the deal would only be allowed to go ahead should Mikel Arteta be able to sign a replacement, and their rumoured pursuit of versatile Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White could see Bellerin given the blessing to depart for Italy.
Such a move would end an 10-year stay at the club after joining the youth ranks from Barcelona in 2011, and going on to make 239 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.
