Liverpool and Arsenal will reportedly go head to head for the signature of Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay.
The 24-year-old, who has scored two goals and assisted one other in 15 appearances for Julian Nagelsmann's side this season, has a £28m release clause in his contract.
According to Bild, representatives from both Premier League clubs have met with Demirbay's agent and are willing to match the asking price for the German.
The midfielder, who has earned two caps for his national team, is one of the most highly-rated in the Bundesliga this term.
Liverpool are also allegedly in talks with the Gunners over a possible switch for England international Jack Wilshere.
