Manchester City are reportedly preparing a bid for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
The Germany international is thought to be unhappy at the Emirates Stadium, particularly with Arsene Wenger's choice to play him on the left side of midfield rather than in his preferred role behind the centre-forward.
The 25-year-old has struggled for consistency since joining the Gunners from Real Madrid for a club-record fee of £42.5m in August 2013.
Bayern Munich have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Ozil, but Premier League champions City are ready to fend off any competition by making a £35m bid for the midfielder, according to Caught Offside.
Ozil is currently sidelined until the beginning of 2015 with a knee injury.
