Mesut Ozil has reportedly decided that he will try to leave Arsenal during the January transfer window.
The German international arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Real Madrid for a club-record fee of £42.5m in August 2013, but has struggled for consistency and has seen his recent performances receive criticism.
It is believed that the 25-yearold has grown frustrated with manager Arsene Wenger's choice to continually play him wide on the left, when his preferred position is a free role behind a lone centre-forward.
News of his desire to depart the North Londoners has apparently captured the attention of Bayern Munich, who are prepared to part with £30m to sign the playmaker, according to the Daily Mail.
Should the move go through, it may mean that Ozil has already played his last game for the Gunners, as he is expected to be sidelined until the early weeks of 2015 with a knee injury.
