Napoli are reportedly ready to make a loan bid for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira at the beginning of 2020.
After an indifferent opening year at the Emirates Stadium, Torreira suggested in the summer that he would prefer to return to Italy, where he had previously represented Sampdoria.
While the Uruguay international ultimately stayed in London, speculation persists regarding a potential exit from Arsenal in the January transfer window.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli intend to follow up their previous interest in the player by making a loan approach with an obligation to buy later in the year.
The report claims that the Serie A outfit want to pay £2.5m in January, before shelling out a further £22m ahead of the start of next season.
The 23-year-old still has over three-and-a-half years left on his contract at Arsenal.
