Arsenal will reportedly have to pay just £8m if they are to sign Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares on permanent deals at the end of the season.
The Gunners snapped up the defensive duo on loan in the closing stages of the January transfer window.
Mari arrived from Flamengo and Cedric joined from fellow Premier League side Southampton, where he has spent the past four-and-a-half years.
Arsenal have the option to turn both loan moves into full-time switches in the summer and, according to Football.London, they will only have to part with £8m to do so.
That is because Cedric is out of contract at St Mary's in six months' time, while Spanish centre-back Mari - previously on Manchester City's books - only has two years to run on his Flamengo deal.
Mikel Arteta will not use either player in Sunday's Premier League clash with Burnley due to fitness and injury concerns.
