Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly keeping tabs on Ipswich Town youngster Tristan Nydam ahead of a potential transfer in the winter window.
Wenger is said to be a big admirer of the 17-year-old, who has featured 12 times for the senior side this season after emerging from the academy.
According to The Sun, Arsenal are willing to hand over £2m for the teenage midfielder - under contract at Portman Road until the end of next season - as they are keen to get a deal done.
Nydam may then be loaned straight back to the Tractor Boys if a move does go through, with the same report suggesting that Wenger sees him as a long-term project.
Arsenal have delved into the lower-leagues market in recent times to sign Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers and Cohen Bramall from Hednesford Town.
