Out-of-favour Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac is reportedly in talks over a loan move to former club Schalke 04 in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old has seldom been used by Mikel Arteta in the current campaign, with Kieran Tierney impressing as the Gunners' first-choice left-back despite their poor start to the season.
Kolasinac has mainly been restricted to starts in the Europa League and EFL Cup this term - featuring just once in the 2020-21 Premier League campaign - although his game time has been hampered by injury and a positive coronavirus diagnosis.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Kolasinac is keen to return to Schalke on a temporary basis next month before sealing a permanent exit from Arsenal in the summer.
The Bosnian spent five years in the Schalke first team before heading to North London, where he has scored five goals and provided 15 assists for the Gunners in all competitions since 2017.
Kolasinac now has 18 months left to run on his deal at the Emirates Stadium.
