Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar fit for Manchester United clash

Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar confirms that he is fit for Saturday's Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar has confirmed that he is fit to play in his side's Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Dutchman has been out of action since his sending-off in Villa's 2-1 defeat to Stoke City in February.

"I hope to be involved at the weekend," The Express quotes Vlaar as saying. "It was really frustrating to have another setback and that's happened a few times.

"But I feel good now and that's most the most important thing for me. A run of games is what I'm aiming for now."

The Midlands side are currently three points above Premier League relegation.
