Bannan banned 18 months from driving

Barry Bannan is served an 18-month ban from driving as well as a £4,500 fine for motoring offences.

Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan has been hit with an 18-month driving ban and a £4,500 fine following charges of motoring offences.

The 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drink driving last month and was later charged for crashing his car on a motorway.

The playmaker has now been punished for those charges after a hearing at Nottingham Magistrates' Court this morning.

Nottinghamshire police also arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the motorway altercation, but did not receive any charges for the incident.
