Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke has been rewarded for his recent return to form by being named Barclays Player of the Month for April.
The Belgium international scored five goals in four games to help the Villans open up a two-point gap on fellow strugglers Sunderland.
Benteke, who has been linked with a move away from the West Midlands outfit this summer, becomes the first Villa player to win the accolade since Ashley Young in December 2008.
Leicester City duo Kasper Schmeichel and Jamie Vardy were also nominated for the award, along with Manchester United's Ander Herrera, Charlie Adam of Stoke City and Chelsea's Premier League-winning skipper John Terry.
