Ron Vlaar admits relief after win

Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar admits that he could feel the relief in the club's dressing room after they defeated West Ham United on Sunday.

Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar has insisted that his side must build on their 2-1 victory over West Ham United last weekend.

Villa recorded their first win in nine Premier League games against the Hammers to move out of the relegation zone.

Vlaar played a pivotal part in his team's success and he has admitted that he was relieved that his side had finally returned to winning ways.

He told Sky Sports News: "We have to go on. It is only one win and we want more. We have to look forward to the next game.

"Everybody was very happy and you could feel the relief in the stadium and in the dressing room."

The 27-year-old has made 17 Premier League appearances for Villa since his move from Feyenoord during the summer.
