Atletico Madrid forward Kevin Gameiro has insisted that he will fight for his place in the squad after being linked with a move away from the club in January.
Gameiro has fallen down the Atletico pecking order, making just one start in La Liga this season and a total of four appearances so far in all competitions.
The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Everton, with Atletico boss Diego Simeone preferring Yannick Carrasco, Angel Correa and fellow Frenchman Antoine Griezmann in his side this term.
"I am at a great club with lots of competition for places," Gameiro told Diario AS.
"Everybody has to compete to earn a starting place at the club and I am not worried about that at this moment, I am not afraid.
"Right now, I'm not at 100% and I need to work on this to make sure I am on top of my game. Then I can think about myself and my importance."
Simeone's side face Elche in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.
