Daniel Alves: 'We must move on'

Barcelona defender Daniel Alves admits that his side must move on from their 1-0 defeat to Real Valladolid on Saturday.

Barcelona defender Daniel Alves has said that it is 'vital' that the Catalan outfit move on from their 1-0 defeat to Real Valladolid on Saturday.

The loss left Barca in third position in the La Liga table and they could be four points from Real Madrid should Los Blancos beat Levante this evening.

"There was no lack of attitude. We didn't make plays, not a lack of attitude," he told reporters.

"It's not an excuse, but the state of the pitch didn't help us, but we must accept these things. We didn't earn the points and we need to carry on.

"If we live with the regrets, they'll grow to haunt us and create more problems. We need to understand that we now have three fewer points. In the end, the team has shown that we can fight until the end."

Barca have lost three times on the road in the league this season.
