Sergio Busquets "happy" to be among four captains

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets says that he is "happy and proud" to be named one of the club's four captains for the coming season.

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has revealed his delight after being named as one of the club's four captains this season.

The Spanish midfielder has been named alongside Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi following the departures of Carlos Puyol and Victor Valdes at the end of last season.

"I am happy and proud to have been named among the captains. I learned a lot from Puyol and Valdes and want to continue learning from the players that are still here," he told reporters.

"It's not just about the coin toss. You have to keep an eye on everything, be a good teammate, and take responsibilities... I never imagined myself in that role."

Busquets has been with Barcelona since 2005.
