Ivan Rakitic proud of Barcelona display in Granada win

Ivan Rakitic praises Barcelona for their response to a shock defeat by Malaga following the win over Granada.

Ivan Rakitic has claimed that Barcelona can be proud of their return to winning ways following Saturday's 3-1 victory over Granada.

A defeat to Malaga last weekend dealt a crucial blow to Barcelona's title bid, but Luis Enrique's side put the pressure back on La Liga leaders Real Madrid thanks to goals from Rakitic, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

"The pitch is in embarassing condition but we worked very well and we are still improving," the Croatian told reporters.

"It was important to get points after a complicated match against Malaga. Here it is very difficult, but we have done a great job and we deserved the victory."

Barcelona return to action against Villarreal in the Copa del Rey on Tuesday.
