Sevilla re-sign Aleix Vidal from Barcelona

Sevilla confirm that they have re-signed Aleix Vidal from Barcelona on a four-year contract.

Sevilla have confirmed that they have re-signed Aleix Vidal from Barcelona on a four-year contract.

Vidal scored six times in 47 appearances for Sevilla during the 2014-15 campaign before sealing a move to Barcelona.

The right-sided player made over 50 appearances for the Catalan giants during his three seasons at the club, but has now secured a return to the Estadio Ramon for the 2018-19 campaign.

"Sevilla FC have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Aleix Vidal, who will join the club for the next four seasons. Vidal will return to the Nervionenses after three seasons with FC Barcelona," read a statement from Sevilla.

Vidal, who was converted into a right-back during his time at Barcelona, scored twice in 25 appearances for the Spanish champions last term.

The 28-year-old leaves Camp Nou having won two La Liga titles and three Copa del Rey crowns.
