Bayern Munich team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt has revealed that a lack of trust has forced him to leave the club.
Muller-Wohlfahrt announced his departure on Thursday after recent criticism of the club's medical staff in response to an injury crisis which has seen Pep Guardiola lose a number of key players.
"After the Champions League match between Bayern Munich and Porto, the medical department was blamed due to the inexplicable reasons for the loss," Muller-Wohlfahrt said in a statement.
"The bond of trust is damaged."
Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery, David Alaba, Javi Martinez, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mehdi Benatia were all missing from the squad in the loss to Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday.
