Pepe Reina reflects on "magnificent" Bundesliga debut

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Pepe Reina speaks of his happiness after making his debut in the Bundesliga.

Pepe Reina has admitted that it felt "magnificent" to have made his Bundesliga debut for Bayern Munich yesterday afternoon.

The 32-year-old arrived at the Allianz Arena in the summer on a free transfer from Liverpool, but has spent much of his time on the bench behind first-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

However, he was given the nod by head coach Pep Guardiola to start in the 4-0 victory away at Werder Bremen and was thrilled with how things went.

"It was magnificent. I had great support from my teammates. We've again showed just how much passion, character and unity there is in this team. It was great to be back in action again," the Spaniard told the club's official website.

The match was the first in which Bayern fielded a non-German keeper in the Bundesliga since 1988.
